Thinking of you and your family today Fred!! Fred was my first boss in submarines and taught me so much in the beginning of my career. He was one of the most professional and caring people I know and I will forever be grateful for his mentorship and guidance. RIP Fred.

My sincerest condolences to Fred's Family. I was very sorry to hear about Fred's passing. I sailed with him in Onondaga. He was a great Shipmate and Submariner but most of all a true friend. Many fond memories of great runs ashore and the consequences. I will certainly miss him . RIP Freddy.

I knew Fred via the Submariners Association of Canada (Central) and enjoyed my interactions with him over the years. A true boatman, he was a wealth of knowledge about the Oberon-class generation of submariners and always enthusiastic to share those dits. His passing will leave a void. RIP shipmate!

My most sincere condolences to Fred's family. I served with Fred on Onondaga and Okanagan in the late sixties and early seventies. He was a shipmate, a great submariner and a great friend. We had lost contact for a long time after I left the Navy but he found me in 1998 in Toronto and invited me to join the Submariners Association of Canada. Fred also knew my wife Delcie who passed away five years ago. I am sure Delcie will be welcoming him on the other side to discuss the good old days at the Fleet Club in the 1960s. Farewell Fred. You will be greatly missed.

Condolences to all who knew Fred.
Fred was my instructor when I attended submarine course in 1990 and later sailed with him afterwards. Fred was a great story teller and was never without one. Great memories of a great man and pleasure to have know.

I am honoured to have served with Fred at sea in submarines and ashore in the SAOC. He was a great shipmate in both, and his devotion to submarines and submariners will truly be missed. RIP Fred
