Est décédé paisiblement entouré de sa famille le vendredi 17 mars, 2023 à l’âge de 76 ans. Il était le fils de feu Gilberte Paquet et de feu Gérald Brisson. Il était l’époux bien-aimé de Manon Lortie. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses chers enfants Louis (Renée), Caroline, et Frank Lortie (Shawna), ses petites-filles adorées Émilie, Camille, Melina et Amelia. Il laisse également sa belle-soeur Lucie Lortie (Michel Lafrenière) ainsi que plusieurs ami(e)s et de nombreux collègues. Il fut prédécédé par son frère Jean.
La famille invite parents et ami(e)s au Centre commémoratif national Beechwood situé au 280, avenue Beechwood le samedi 29 avril, 2023 à compter de 10h. Une célébration de vie sera célébrée dans l’Espace Sacré à 12h00 suivi d’une réception dans les suites Borden & Fleming qui se terminera à 15h.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, March 17, 2023 at the age of 76 years. He was the son of the late Gilberte Paquet and the late Gérald Brisson. Beloved husband of Manon Lortie. Dear father to Louis (Renée), Caroline, and Frank Lortie (Shawna), cherished grandfather to Émilie, Camille, Melina and Amelia. He also leaves his sister-in-law Lucie Lortie (Michel Lafrenière) as well as many friends and colleagues. Predeceased by his brother Jean.
The family invites relatives and friends to the Beechwood National Memorial Centre located at 280 Beechwood Avenue on Saturday, April 29, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sacred Space at 12:00 p.m. followed by a Reception in the Borden & Fleming Suites which will conclude at 3:00 p.m.

He was a cheerful resource re: the practicalities of practice and clinical insights at our old then new Ottawa General. Good company and a great entertainer with "Prescription". I have many fond memories of Paul at Ottawa U. At my graduation in 1966 he came to the gathering after and played his guitar. He was always so gracious and his musical talent brought much pleasure to so many. I am grateful that we were able to call him friend. "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul" Proverbs27:9.
