With great sadness we announce the passing of Anne Delaquis at home on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the age of sixty-four.  Anne is survived by her loving husband Joey Giovanniello, her sister Sylvie and brother Pascal (Thora).  Anne was predeceased by her parents Lucien and Denise Delaquis. She will be sadly missed by her extended family, including Tata Yvette, Emma (Nanna), Ben (Carmen), Maria (Clarke), Franco (Sharon), her nieces and nephews Bernadette, Erik, Paul, Geneviève, Jonathon, Adam (Brittany), Angelo (Dayton), Francesca, Carolina (Jorge), Olivia and Christina, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada and in France.

After many years of service, Anne retired from the Public Service of Canada in 2018. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her husband and family. She also enjoyed gardening, travelling and was a talented artist.  Anne had a special bond with her dog Bella.  She would take Bella on many walks and would meet up with her friends for a social gathering every day, at the park. Anne was a beautiful soul, she will be sadly missed.

The family will hold a private memorial service and burial at the Beechwood Cemetery on Thursday, February 16, 2023.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Ottawa Humane Society or to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

Dear Joe, I am all shaken up, hearing about Anne’s passing. Just when you could enjoy your retirement together, all your plans git upheaved! Our deepest condolences to you! We are sad never to see Anne again at the dog park! She was such a nice person who always made us smile for being an overprotective dog ‘mom’! Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Joe!

Joey, our heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Anne. Such a beautiful person with a kind heart, a great sense of humour and love of life. I will fondly remember the many years we worked together and the laughs we shared, as well as, our social events with you both. May she rest peacefully. Take special care. Xox

I knew Anne, from when she went to Algonquin college with my girlfriend at the time in the 70's.
Funny as I found a post card today from her in my cleaning up of my old stuff when she was in New York.
I will always remember the time that a bunch of the Algonquin students arranged a trip to Quebec city for Carnival, we had a blast especially on the ice slide.
I'm so sorry for your loss and send my condolences.
She and Tessa are together again, studying that Fine Art.

Regards,
J.T. Hay
