With great sadness we announce the passing of Anne Delaquis at home on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the age of sixty-four.  Anne is survived by her loving husband Joey Giovanniello, her sister Sylvie and brother Pascal (Thora).  Anne was predeceased by her parents Lucien and Denise Delaquis. She will be sadly missed by her extended family, including Tata Yvette, Emma (Nanna), Ben (Carmen), Maria (Clarke), Franco (Sharon), her nieces and nephews Bernadette, Erik, Paul, Geneviève, Jonathon, Adam (Brittany), Angelo (Dayton), Francesca, Carolina (Jorge), Olivia and Christina, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada and in France.

After many years of service, Anne retired from the Public Service of Canada in 2018. She loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her husband and family. She also enjoyed gardening, travelling and was a talented artist.  Anne had a special bond with her dog Bella.  She would take Bella on many walks and would meet up with her friends for a social gathering every day, at the park. Anne was a beautiful soul, she will be sadly missed.

The family will hold a private memorial service and burial at the Beechwood Cemetery on Thursday, February 16, 2023.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Ottawa Humane Society or to The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.

Bon courage.

My deepest condolences. I worked with Anne for many years at Foreign Affairs.
She was truly a lady that I will never forget. Her smile was infectious and she was always happy to help anyone and everyone with a smile.

An Angel now with the most beautiful wings.

My deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Anne. I had the opportunity to work with her back in 2011-12 and have great memories of her kindness with her peers and colleagues. She will be missed.

My Tata Anne is a beautiful woman in every sense of the word. Her art reflects the light and beauty of her soul and brings joy to many who gaze upon it.
I always loved times spent with my Mamy and Papy, father Pascal, Tata Sylvie, and Anne and Joey. We had a memorable and meaningful time together in France, with my Mom and siblings. There was always playful teasing amongst everyone and I loved hearing Anne laugh.
Her love runs very deep, she is truly an angel.
I wish I could be there today to attend her service in person.
Sending all the love in the universe,
Genni
