Passed away peacefully in Ottawa on December 9th, Beloved wife of Robert Sawaya. Loving mother of Dalia and Ivan. Much loved daughter of Nehmatallah Fares and Zakia Berchan. Caring sister of Anwar Fares (Maya Bakhos) and Nesrine Fares. She will be dearly missed by her in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Beechwood Funeral and Cemetery Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Thursday December 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road.
In lieu of flowers and for those wishing, in memoriam donations to Sts. Peter and Paul Church would be appreciated.

Robert, Dalia and Ivan...words can never express the sorrow I feel for your family during this difficult time, and I cannot imagine how hard this must be for you all. We have lost another great one much too early and it is impossible to understand why. Know that your wife, mom, had a great impact on others during her life and will be dearly missed. I had the pleasure of meeting Faten in the Optometric world 20 years ago, as one of her sales representatives, and I would like you to know that she impacted me greatly. Faten was many things, but smart, kind and driven were some of her attributes that will inspire the way I conduct myself moving forward.
