It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Major (ret’d) Marc Moo Sang announces his passing on November 22, 2022 at the age of 68 after a year-long courageous battle with bladder cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise, his cherished children Stefanie (Jonathan) and Isabelle (Ryan), his adored grandchildren, Mia, Théo, Fiona, Winston, Bristol, Maxime, and many nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends. He was the loving brother of Marie José and Célyne.

Marc will be remembered as a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather, a brother, uncle and dear friend. A man with a big heart, he was humble, genuine, generous and benevolent who never hesitated to share his wisdom. Throughout his life and career he built a reputation as an exceptional leader and was recognized for his dedication and service toward those around him. Bon vivant, his life was filled with adventures and travels that he passionately shared with his family.

The family would like to thank the teams of the oncology and neurosurgery division at the Ottawa Hospital and Home and Community Care Services Champlain and the Orleans Palliative Care team.  A donation can be made in his memory at:

I had the pleasure of meeting Major Moo Sang when I was involved with The Air Cadets 51 Squadron. He was very dedicated with working with our youth and always willing to take the time to help out when asked. It was a presse working along side Mr. Moo Sang.

J'ai eu la chance dans ma carrière de travailler avec le Maj Moo Sang. Homme droit et rigoureux, il a toujours été à la hauteur des tâches demandées et même davantage.
Je tiens à souhaiter mes plus sincères condoléances à la famille.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Major Moo Sang. I remember him very fondly. We had wonderful conversations in the Bagotville officers mess in 2018 while we were both working full time for the Cadet Training Centre there. I was a young Civilian Instructor and he was a Major, and I definitely considered him a mentor figure that summer. He was especially kind to me when a sudden tragic event happened in my personal life while I was on contract at CTC Bagotville far away from home. He will be missed. Thank you, sir, for your wisdom and kindness, especially during one of the more difficult moments of my life.
