Rosemary passed away at home in Collingwood after a brief illness. Rosemary died an active 87 year-old, always vigorously pursuing her interests at top speed: walking Charlie, outdoor activities, supporting her community, cooking, art, and something for which she had infinite patience, quilting. She wished her family and her close friends in the UK, Mulmur, Dunedin and Collingwood to know that they incredibly enriched her life and that they are greatly loved and cherished.
Daughter of the late Cmdr. and Mrs. W.A. Alverne Bolitho RN, long-time friend of Linda McBurney, beloved Aunt of Michael (Angelica) and John (Vivienne Palmer) and great-Aunt of Victoria, Sister-in-law of Isobel, Sister of the late Morwenna, Hilary and Richard.

Interment at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa, at a time and date to be confirmed.
If desired, donations to the Nature League, Collingwood natureleague.ca or a green charity of your choice would be appreciated.

I had the privilege of working with Rosemary and always enjoyed our visits and phone calls. She was always so warm and welcoming and I'll miss our conversations very much. My sincere condolences to the friends and family she's left behind. I know she will be missed.

It is always very sad to have people, whom you value and admire, slip away from our lives. Ever generous and kind, witty but droll, Rosemary was just a lovely person to have known. We will miss her.

Rosemary was one of the first friends I met who welcomed me when I moved into this wonderful community after retirement. At that time she was organizing a garden tour as a local fundraiser. Many more activities were to follow with Rosemary and Linda. We adopted our dear Skipper from the same breeder as their Charlie. We enjoyed so many same interests over the years- cross country skiing, gardening, the arts, especially visual, cooking, literature. I have fond memories of Rosemary and Linda waving to me from the ‘high up’ seats they had saved for me at Cinema Club. Rosemary was a beautiful soul with an always large smile and full of witty conversation. May you and Linda , Rest In Peace. Love Gail

Rosemary was one of the first to welcome me to this community when Tom and I moved to this area. The Garden Tours, cross -country skiing, the arts, especially visual, cooking, and local events were some enjoyed together.
Rosemary and Linda were responsible for us adopting our dear Skipper, from the same breeder as Charlie. Lots of little moments such as them waving from the high -up seats at Cinema Club for me to join them.
I was blessed to have Rosemary and Linda as friends, Rest In Peace . Love Gail
