Gail (Guylaine) Bolduc who loved to be called grand-mère by her grand kids, departed her family on Monday August 29th, 2022, too soon.

She met her soon to be husband Claude Bolduc at the Canadian Armed Forces recruiting center and from there they loved each other through so many life adventures. When he asked her hand in marriage and “go for the glory” she agreed with vigor but didn’t know what she was agreeing to. It was not long before they found themselves travelling across Canada multiple times. Each time with a new vehicle and another child in the back seat. Like diving eagles they took the plunge in career, life and love.

She was a motivated strong woman, creative and determined.  She never turned from a challenge and taught her children resilience.  Gail loved to dance, sing, laugh and took the time to appreciate the small simple moments.  With an open heart and an open mind she explored so many facets of the world and in return she shared her love and passion to those around her. Whether it was rolling the dice with some nerds at dungeons and dragons to hiking and performing yoga at some of the wonders of the world to solving the mathematical equations of juicing literal tons of fruits and vegetables she was a shining paragon to the ideals of living your life at your fullest.

Guylaine loved children. If the child was afraid of insects, she would show them the silly and fun side of bugs until it became a game for the kids to collect them. If they were crying because they were hurt, she would comfort and love them until they were soon laughing at the same thing that had just minutes ago hurt them. Somehow without any ego nor pride but rather with just her humble love and wonder, she always left her mark with people who had just met her, and even to this day, still share stories about her.

Celebration of life will be held at Beechwood National Military Cemetery at 280 Avenue Beechwood, Ottawa on September 8th, 2022 at 11am to 13:00. Reception to be held after.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the War Amps (https://donate.waramps.ca/eforms.aspx?edonate) is greatly appreciated as this was a charity dear to her heart.
