It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Brian Bell on January 12 2022, in the comfort of his own home, at the age of 69.

Brian is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Janet Bell. Loved brother of Mark (Gail) and Wayne. Cherished by Heather, nephews Austin and Justin (Allanah) and niece Ramanda.

Brian will be dearly missed by his close friends and colleagues from the Ottawa Police Services. Special thank you to Donna Lea Andrews for all the love and support she showed Brian on the journey we call life. Anyone who knew Brian knew his love for cars and sports, especially the Dolphins.

A thank you to all of "Brian's Girls" Carolyn, Khaty, Stephanie, Judith, Delephine, Queen and Bryana.

A special thank you to his first call of the day or good morning to the last call of the night, Krista who patiently stood with him through the tough times.

Donations in Brian's memory can be made to the Heart Institute

Very sad news about Brian's passing. Brian was always a great resource and fun to work with. His sense of humour made a hard day turn into a good day. He always took time to stop and chat no matter how busy he was. R.I.P. Brian. Condolences to all your family.

Sending our sincere condolences, I was fortunate to have met Brian years ago on a course, and always enjoyed our time working together. Brian was a great cop, and an even greater man. De has many fond memories, always enjoying Donna Lea & Brian's frequent visits in Club Red, and hearing about their adventures, travels, and many dogs they rescued. Rest in peace Brian
Sincerely
Gary & De Cashman

Brian, a week never goes by without thinking of the kind of person you were. You were a funny, “no filter” honest man. The last 3plus yrs I spent working as your caretaker was one of my most memorable ones. I can say I will never find another clt like u. We fought, laughed, and had lots of fun. Even though I didn’t know how to help you sometimes when in pain, am sure you are pain free up there. Continue to rest in perfect peace B, I will definitely keep the memories dearly to my heart and the time I spent with you. You would always say “Khaty u are the best, and I say thanx B; I try” u would say no, I mean it. Thanx for always being you!! Forever in my heart.

As distant as Brian may have been from his own immediate family, I am happy to see the many comments from friends and coworkers who managed to build a relationship with him as difficult as that could be.
