Douglas James Dinsmore of Rockland, Ontario passed away peacefully at 72 years of age on Wednesday, August 3 2022 at his residence. Dearly loved husband of Judy Dinsmore. Beloved father of Robert and David Dinsmore. Caring step father of David Lamon (Kristine Lamon) and Andrea Brito, (Edward Brito). Survived by four brothers Jerry, Del, Ted and Randy. He will be sadly missed by his grand children Kyle, Devon, Cole, Dawson, Nathan and Vincent. Doug was born in Brantford Ontario on December 21 1949, the son of the late Kenneth and Lois (Dobson) Dinsmore. Doug served 38 years in the Canadian Navy. He was also a member of Branch 554 of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa. A Graveside Service with military honours will be held in the National Military Cemetery, located at Beechwood Cemetery on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. Remembrances may be made to the Legion Poppy Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Our families spent a lot of time together when we were growing up. Doug was always a kind thoughtful person even as a kid. I have fond memories of my cousin. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.
