Henderson was born on November 11, 1950, in Bridgetown, Barbados. He was a very quiet and private person, never sharing much about himself. In his youth he studied and became a Certified Electrician and stayed in this field for a short period of time. He then changed his career path and studied Accounting and Auditing and became a Forensic Internal Auditor, with professional qualifications [ACCA, CIA, CISA, CCSA]. He worked in this field until his retirement.
Henderson loved to entertain, having at home parties with all his friends. He loved his music, his clothes and his cars. Always the best for him! He was a lover of cruising, travelling, visiting many places and enjoying the various lifestyles, diverse cultures and the beauty of the countries he visited.
He was an avid Walker. A member of the Walkers Club in Barbados and Canada, walking many trails, hills and completing many marathons. He was also a passionate player of lawn tennis and an avid gardener.
Always "there" for anyone, to lend a helping hand. He had a big and kind heart and will always be remembered for this.
Henderson departed his beautiful family, friends and world on April 4, 2022, after succumbing to pancreatic cancer. He outlived his original preliminary diagnosis of 3-6 months and survived for 3 years.
He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Donna, and daughter, Rudonna. He will always be remembered and truly missed by them, his siblings and their spouses, nieces and nephews, in-laws, friends and associates. Henderson had a wonderful, memorable, and diverse life.
A memorial service will be held on May 13, 2022, at 1:30pm at the gravesite at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and memoriams, Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated.

My brother-in-law was one of a kind. Hendy, Pops, Papi, these names and more we called you. Always quiet, never raising your voice, always taking your time, never in a rush unless you were walking a trail. Always finding time to admire the scenery and nurture your garden and surrounding environment. No one could cut your lawn for you, it had to follow a particular pattern.
Shopping for one thing could take an entire month or more because only the best, unique, unusual, uncommon thing was good enough. This required visits to several stores, and then several visits to the store whose item who had chosen, that sometimes it was even sold by the time you were ready to purchase. "Man, I really liked that one" you'd say and start all over again. Patience was your virtue.
Music, oldies, reggae, calypso, blues, jazz, you knew it all and loved it all. Reggae Fest, Blues Fest, Jazz Festival, you're getting season tickets and the whole house going. Car shows, street fairs, Ottawa, Toronto, we going and walking all day and night. Oh how you will be missed. Nothing will be the same without you.
You were a genious at dealing with finances and extremely careful because your name was never going to be red flagged.
I will remember your jokes told with a serious face, so serious that everyone but I would believe you, and then the long stupse as they realize that you had played one on them; but I knew you so well I couldn't be fooled easily.
I can go on forever but I will stop here. May God keep my sister Donna and niece Rudi in perfect peace as they struggle to deal with your absence. We loved you dearly and thank God that He has taken your pain away. You suffered in silence and God has taken you home. Sweet sleep brother-in-law. RIP.

Henderson it was our honor to get to know you and spend time engaging in many fine talks. You certainly have me peace of mind and emotional support when Steve was fighting cancer, as I hope he gave you some peace during your fight.
Our life was enriched by your friendship.
I pray that our son Caleb embraces you at the gates of paradise. The Angel you gave us at the time of his passing sits on the mantle beside his picture and ashes. My deepest condolences to your family.
May you rest in Peace dear friend and rise in Glory.
