Passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2022, surrounded by her family at the age of 98. Beloved wife of the late Assaad Haddad. Dear mother of Khalil (Gilla), Juliana Ajaka (Camille), and the late Camil. Cherished grandmother of Camil, Nadine (Nicolas), Leama and Petra. Predeceased by her six siblings. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and relatives who will remember her loving spirit and fondness for card games.
Family and friends may pay their respects at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, on Tuesday March 22, 2022, from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 23, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Sts-Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River, Ottawa. Marie’s life reflected warmth and kindness towards her family, friends, and neighbors.

Khal I can’t believe it, I’m so sorry for your loss. I am in town and tried looking you up and found this notice and it made me very sad. I think your mom was an amazing woman. I wish I could have surprised her with little Alec not little anymore. She would have loved it. I have such fond memories of drinking really strong coffee in your living room and talking with Marie. I tried your old number but it’s someone else now. :-(
she was respected by everyone who knew her. She left this world to be with her son, husband and siblings. May her memory be eternal.
