It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of Abdallah (Boudi) Anis Baidoun on Friday, February 25, 2022 in his 67th year. Mourning his passing are his sons Christopher (Lorella) Baidoun and Daniel (Elisabeth) Baidoun. Cherished Jido of his grandchildren Gabriella, Enzo, Abel and Elbi. Boudi will forever be sadly missed by the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Liliane Baidoun. He was predeceased by his mother Jamile Salim Jabbour, his father Anis Abdallah Baidoun and his sister Ahlam. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings Joseph, Maurice, Mona and Nawal, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

To know Boudi was to love him. He had a special gift of bringing a smile to everyone’s face and making those around him feel so loved. No one felt the power of this singular gift more than his family. Boudi’s family was his absolute everything. Central to his extraordinary family bonds was the mutual bond of love he shared with his grandchildren. His love lives on in them, as they grow up, carrying the torch and love they have for their Jido. While nothing can prepare us for the sudden loss of our beloved Boudi, we remember him with loving lightness every time we look into the faces of his proud sons, daughters, and grandchildren.

Dear Boudi, Baba, Jido, friend, we will remember that light that exuded from within you and the selfless way you lived your life. We will carry on your legacy of kindness, warmth, love, and family, by living our lives the way we were so blessed to have witnessed you live yours. Rest in peace and in love and light. Visitation will take place at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa), on Friday March 4, 2022 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm.

Funeral service will follow on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Saint Charbel Maronite Catholic Parish at 10 am.

My friend for almost thirty years Boudi broke the mould and slipped from his safe cocoon into a brave new world on his butterfly wings. He favoured every flower who came into his life with a light sometimes healing touch. He will be near all of us for all time until we, one by one, grow our own ? wings.
