The funeral will be livestreamed at the following link on Saturday, February 12th at 1pm - https://foveo.stream/s/__?quickJoinCode=84366&yt

Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family February 4th, two days after his 50th birthday, due to complications relating to covid. Eldest son of (the late) Evalds Jermacans and Daina Jermacans, beloved husband and best friend of Andrea Lewandowski, treasured father of Vivian Jermacans, and big brother of Andrew (Arlene), Elizabeth (James), and Laura (Skylar). He will be missed tremendously by multiple nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.

Davis will always be remembered for his quirky sense of humour, his passion for camping and gardening, his prowess in cooking and creating fermented food and drinks from scratch, his faith in God, his interest in politics and travel, and his larger-than-life love for his precious little girl. Davis was a frequent champion of his family’s annual chili competition, our top choice in the 2014 Ottawa municipal election, and in our hearts, he will forever be King Davis of the Osgoode Medieval Festival.

Friends and Family are invited to visit at Beechwood Cemetery and Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, February 10, and Friday, February 11. The Funeral Service will be held in the Sacred Space of Beechwood at 1pm on Saturday, February 12. Due to capacity restrictions, guests are invited to reserve their attendance.

Flowers are welcome, as are donations to the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation or World Vision.

Our deepest condolences to the entire family. You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Psalm 23:4. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Andrea and Vivan, Jermacans family, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Davis's presence was huge--not just because of his height and red hair and booming voice--and that makes his absence feel like a greater void. When I remember Davis, which I do regularly and with love, I remember his homemade poutine and butter chicken, his willingness to sleep on the sofa and give a friend his bed, his laugh and plaid pj pants first thing in the morning, his many speeding tickets, the way he looked at Andrea at their wedding, him playing horses with little Vivian, and his overfull heart that was devoted to his family and friends. Davis, we love you and we miss you.

I don’t know where to start but always have fond memories of Davis and his quirky humor and opinions. We started almost 6-7 years back where he had put everything in making his community a better place and ran for mayor and lost everything; but his unwavering faith in life brought him back to his feet and pursuing to become a CW partner with AHS in Canada. From his jokes about the crummy $40 motels in Ohio and small beginnings to becoming a wealth of knowledge as partner to us and Dave Vranch - he will not be forgotten. We will miss you Davis!

I was always amazed at the same time times you’d be up in the middle of the night or 4am and corresponding with you at those odd work times and then be able to drop off Vivian to school in the mornings during our catch-up calls. You had a good balance going on there.

Andrea, I’ve nothing but the deepest condolences from our family to yours. Please consider us friends not only in business, but if you ever need anything please always feel free to reach out.

May he Rest In Peace.

Much love and hope/pray that God gives you all the patience to deal with grief and void that’s left. Amen!
