Monique was a caring mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  A free-spirited traveller who loved to laugh, she was taken from us suddenly on December 24, 2021.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim and is survived by her children, Jocelyn (Robert Whan), Michael (Lynn Sto Tomas), and Yanick (Sheri Dagenais), her cherished grandson Jude, her brother Claude (Gisèle), her sister Pierrette (Rene Bourassa), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 3-7pm. A private interment to follow with a Celebration of Life to be held in the spring. Donations on her behalf may be made to MADD Canada, or the Canadian Cancer Society.

I met Monique a few years ago through Book Club, and admired her fearlessness, her vitality, and her positive outlook on life. It is just so unfair that she is gone! Sincere sympathy to all those who loved her.

sorry for your loss, kids, she was a beautiful person. Jim and Monique always accommodated us when we were up that area, either by boat or car. Many great talks , late into the evening and more recently, so glad she was able to come to our corn roast and see many relatives she hadn't seen for a while. RIP Monique, miss you.

Monique was very special to our family and even though the miles were so great between us we always felt a special love and hug from her. From JoAnn Ayotte, Laurie Stewart and Marshall Molloy (Jack and Lee's kids), our spouses and families we give you our deepest sympathy and condolences ?

I was saddened to learn of Aunt Monique’s passing; I will miss her laughter and consistently sunny disposition. I will hold onto the fond memories spending time with Uncle Ted, Aunt Monique and the “family band” enjoying impromptu concerts and taking turns at the Ouija board. To my cousins Jocelyn, Mike and Yanick and your families: I want you to know that Tracey and I are thinking of you, and I hope you can find some comfort knowing your parent’s were such positive forces in the lives they touched,

I neglected to mention our brother Jeffrey Molloy and his widow Kathryn. My apologies in this oversight

Monique was a friend of many years. I met her initially, in her role as an accomplished teacher of quilting classes. Even then, she was happily travelling the world. Monique joined our bookclub, and we have collectively shared joys, sorrows and losses. I will miss the twinkle in her eye, the hint of mischief, the happy smile, always the high heels, and her “joie de vivre”. Sweet be thy rest, my friend. Heartfelt sympathies to Monique’s family and friends.,
