Melanie Forster

Melanie was born and raised in Ottawa where she attended Algonquin College attaining her diploma in Recreation and Leisure Studies (honours). Upon graduating, she received the ‘Barry Robinson Advocate Award, for exemplifying her passion for helping others with empathy and leadership, in the classroom and in the community.
Prior to her move to Beechwood, Melanie worked in the healthcare industry where her passion for helping our vulnerable society came into practice. She offered her support and compassion for residents, and their families, during end-of-life care. Most recently as an Recreational Therapist for a non-profit long-term care facility. These experiences have further solidified Melanie’s wish to help others.
While on maternity leave, she also obtained her Pre-Planning Funeral Licence from Humber College. Further exemplifying her wish to help families navigate all items for end-of-life needs.
Melanie is the proud mother of a one-year-old and loves to spend her spare time enjoying the great outdoors and baking with her daughter.
