Monica Olney

Board Member

Monica was born and raised in Sherbrooke, part of the beautiful Eastern Townships of Quebec.

She completed her Honours Degree in Economics at Bishop's University and worked in Montreal for four years before moving to Ottawa.

Monica enjoyed a distinguished career in the financial services industry covering the banking, trust and investment management specialities. A Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), her years in the investment management specialty were exciting and allowed her to indulge in her passion for teaching. 

Her involvement in the community has included serving as a Board Member for other charities, tutoring challenged youth and working at high profile sporting events including the Vancouver Olympics. A Co-Founder of the Sir Winston Churchill Society of Ottawa, Monica is a history enthusiast and an avid reader, cyclist and traveller.
