Christine Tausig Ford is president of the Ottawa-based consulting firm, Higher Thinking Strategies Limited. She provides consulting services to universities, non-profit associations and federal government agencies in the areas of governance, leadership, higher education and research policy.

Christine was formerly vice-president and chief operating officer of Universities Canada. She has also served as interim executive director of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences.

She is currently chair of the Ottawa Humane Society, and a member of the executive of the International Women’s Forum Ottawa chapter.

Christine holds an honours bachelor of journalism from Carleton University and a bachelor of arts in English from the University of Toronto’s Trinity College. She received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 for service to higher education.
