Fernande Rose Marie Madsen (Drouin) est retournée auprès de son Seigneur et Sauveur le mercredi 31 décembre 2025, à l’âge de 91 ans. Née à Hull (Québec) le 18 mai 1934, elle était l’épouse bien-aimée de feu Jens Erik Madsen, la fille de feu Olivier Drouin et de feu Laura Trudeau.
Fernande laisse dans le deuil sa chère fille Priscilla et son cher fils Eric (Stéphanie), ses petits-enfants adorés : Deandre (Jessica), Kendall Boucher-Tracey (Kayla), Charlee et Roman, ainsi que ses arrière-petits-enfants chéris : Amilio et Amia.
Elle laisse également ses sœurs : Lise (Réal Gagnon) et Hélène Drouin, ainsi que de nombreux nièces, neveux et amis.
Elle fut prédécédée par ses frères et sœurs : Gérard (feu Laurette Beaudoin), Olivette, Françoise, André (feu Annette Bérubé), Jeannine, Desneiges (feu Georges Lemieux), Noëlla (feu Gérard St-Denis) et Laurette (feu John O’Reilly).
Fernande était une femme de Dieu, une femme de dignité et de foi. Malgré ses défis de santé, son sens de l’humour, son esprit vif et sa compassion pour les autres ne l’ont jamais quittée. Elle fut le témoignage d’une vie bien vécue et laisse un héritage durable d’amour, de courage et de grâce.
Un merci tout spécial à tous les médecins, aux membres de la famille, aux amis, à l’équipe de soins à domicile et à toutes les personnes impliquées dans ses soins de longue durée.
L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière Beechwood, situé au 280, avenue Beechwood, K1L 8A6 à Ottawa, le jeudi 15 janvier 2026 à 16 h.
Une célébration de la vie suivra le jeudi 15 janvier 2026 au Tent of David, situé au 2197 Old Highway 17, Clarence-Rockland (Ontario) K4K 1K7, à 18 h.
Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la Banque d’alimentation d’Ottawa (Accueil - La Banque d’alimentation d’Ottawa) seraient appréciés.

Gone but not forgotten - missed but know I get to spend eternity with her.
To her family and friends may you all find comfort in good memories and have the hope of seeing her again in heaven.
As a teenager she often drove me from church to her house in that big station wagon which being so tiny she could barely see over the steering wheel and thus not the greatest of drivers ... she was instrumental in helping me become a prayer warrior for there were a few times where I thought we were all going to die... we laughed about that just a couple of weeks ago at her hospital bedside. She has taught me so much over the last almost 4 decades. Love and admiration for all she fought through. 🧡

Fernande, such a lovely lady, who loved the Lord and her family, so very much. I had the privilege to see her daughter Priscilla take such good care of her Mom in these last years. This is to your honour my friend Priscilla. You were amazing with your Mom. You sacrificed so much because you loved her so. And she loved you! Fernande was a great friend of mine when we were in our '20s, going to dances, discussing guys, etc. Finally Jens came into her life, and if my memory serves me right I recall her saying she was a little confused about her feelings for him at first. However he finally won her heart and I strongly believe she was very happy with him. Rest in peace, dear Fernande and may God be with you. My condolences to Priscilla and Eric.

Fern was an amazing lady. She was always happy to see me. She loved it when I would tease her but she also knew how to dish it. She would call her walker, her new Cadillac.
Fern and her daughter, Priscilla, had such a beautiful bond. It was a privilege and honour to be their friend. Fern we are going to miss you here, but we know that you are with Jesus having the best time forever. We will meet again someday, but will not bring your Cadillac 🤣❤️.
