It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Spearns, who left this world peacefully on October 18th, 2025, at home, surrounded by love and in the arms of his wife.
Born on February 4th, 1976, in Ottawa, Jack lived a life marked by courage, humor, and a fierce devotion to those he loved. Known for his quick wit, hard exterior, and unwavering loyalty, he touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Jack found his greatest joy in life’s simple moments — the laughter of family, the comfort of friends and the calm of the ocean, his favorite place of peace. Though he faced illness with extraordinary strength and courage, his spirit remained unshaken. He fought hard and never gave up.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Brittany Spearns; his daughter, Jasmine Spearns; his son, Jordan Spearns; his sister May Spearns; his parents, Ron and Ruth Spearns; and many friends and extended family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Uncle Jack, when I was around 16 and 17, I came to live with you and Aunt Brittany during one of the hardest times in my life. I’ll always be grateful that you both opened your home and hearts to me. Things weren’t always easy — mostly because I was going through a lot — but you never lost your calm, cool, and collected way of handling things. You were funny, light-spirited, and somehow always found a way to make things feel okay, even when they weren’t. You had this quiet strength and kindness that made such a difference to me, even if I didn’t fully realize it back then. I’m so thankful for the time I got to spend with you and for the warmth and love you showed me.
