Passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family in Gatineau on Thursday August 17th 2023 at the age of 62. Beloved husband of France Riopel, cherished father to Marc-André and Isabelle (Kyle Fournier) and proud “Pépère” of Talia and Layla.
Dear brother to Adèle, Louise (Pierre Lauriault), Lucie, Michel (Sylvie Giguère), Jean, Julie and Philippe (Camille Cyr), brother-in-law to Lise (Denis Bonhomme) and Yves (Clair Villeneuve) and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by his friends at the Buckingham Curling Club and brothers and sister-in-arms.
Predeceased by his parents Thérèse (née Gagnon) et Eugène Charron.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses with the palliative care team on the 5th floor North at the Gatineau Hospital for their kindness and care.
Friends and family are invited to pay respects at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood ave. Ottawa, Saturday August 26th after 9:00a.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Sacred Space at 10:00 a.m. followed by urn interment at the National Military Cemetery of the Canadian Forces at 11:00 a.m. A gathering for rememberance will take place afterward. In memoriam, if you wish to, please direct any donations to Oncology at the Gatineau Health Foundation.

Mes sinceres condoleances a son epouse France et enfants Marc-Andre et Isabelle et leur belle famille, amis et freres d'armes. Frank avait toujours un petit commentaire pour faire souritre les gens. J'ai travaille avec lui a Kabul en 2009, nous avons connecte immediatement. Il adorait joue au hockey ball meme devant l'ambassade et nous etions toujours sur la meme equipe (au detriment du gardien adverse (Mike) LoL.
