It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of John “Jack” Burbridge on November 22, 2024, with family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Claudia, son Brian (Tracey Brawley-Burbridge), daughter Lynda (Michael Iwanoff), and granddaughter Logan, his pride and joy. He is predeceased by his parents, Rexford and Mae Burbridge.
Jack lived a full and exemplary life, approaching it with passion and the utmost integrity. A devoted and loving family man, he was most proud of his role as husband, father, and grandfather. He was a kind and caring man who put the needs of others before his own. As a role model in his personal and professional life, he was dependable and generous, providing care and compassion to all who knew him.
Jack was a proud member of the RCMP, Canada’s national police force, for 24 years, followed by a second career with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. He continually gave to the communities where he served. He was a member of the Masonic RCMP Degree Team and later, an active member of the RCMP Veterans’ Association. He was committed to making a difference to humanity through his involvement with both the Lions Club and the Masonic Lodge.
We will be forever grateful for the blessings of such a wonderful man, for all he taught us, and for the love he shared. We will miss you, Papa. Rest in peace.

Dear Claudia, Brian, Lynda and families. I was deeply saddened to learn of Jack’s death yesterday. Jack was one of my favourite people! He was always interested in what you were doing and was always there when needed. Jack was very supportive and caring when both of my parents were ill. My deepest condolences to you all. I think there is a wicked bridge game happening with our beautiful guardian angels! Much love and hugs always!
