It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jacques Lebel on July 4, 2024 at the age of 90, at the Montfort Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents: Achille Lebel, Yvonne (née Sylvain) and his spouse Adèle. He leaves in sorrow his sons: Jacques “Jack” (Linda) and Robert “Bob”; his beloved grandchildren: Sarah (Cory), and Stephanie (James); his great-grandchildren: Jacob, Daniel, Maci, and Colby; his siblings: Marie-Paul (Jean-Paul), Gilles, Jacline (Raymond), Denise (the late Cyrice) and René (Thérèse), his brother-in-law: Wayne (Mary Jean); as well many nephews, nieces and friends. His brother also predeceased him: Claude (Suzanne).
The family would like to thank the Montfort Hospital’s staff for the excellent care provided.
A reception will be held at Beechwood's National Cemetery (located at 280 Beechwood Ave. in Ottawa) from 1-3pm on Saturday July 13th followed by an inurnment.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

C'est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Jacques Lebel le 4 juillet 2024 à l'âge de 90 ans.
Il fut précédé par ses parents: Achille Lebel et Yvonne (née Sylvain) et son épouse Adèle. Il laisse dans le deuil ses fils: Jacques « Jack » (Linda) et Robert « Bob »; ses petits-enfants : Sarah (Cory), Stephanie (James); ses arrière-petits-enfants : Jacob, Daniel, Maci et Colby; ses frères et sœurs : Marie-Paul (Jean-Paul), Gilles, Jacline (Raymond), Denise (feu Cyrice) et René (Thérèse), son beau-frère : Wayne (Mary Jean) ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et ami(e)s. Il fut aussi prédécédé par son frère : Claude (Suzanne).
La famille tient à remercier le personnel de l'Hôpital Montfort pour les excellents soins prodigués.
Une réception aura lieu au Cimetière Beechwood (situé au 280, avenue Beechwood à Ottawa) de 13 h à 15 h le samedi 13 juillet, après l'inhumation.
Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer ou la fondation des maladies du cœur et AVC seraient grandement appréciés.
