Pauline Ainley, also known as Paula, was born in Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK on the 26th April 1936. After attending school in Newcastle, she went on to join the Civil Service and moved to London where she shared a flat with other Secretaries. She later joined the Canadian Diplomatic Service and travelled all over the World, we never knew where we would get cards and post from next!

Pauline became a Canadian Citizen in 2002 and when she retired and moved into an apartment in Ottawa. She soon joined a retired group who enjoyed walking tours, holidays, photography and attending events.

Although she never returned to the UK after the death of her father. Pauline always kept in touch and loved to hear the news about the family back in England.

The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone who has helped us so sympathetically at this difficult time.
