Passed away peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024; at the age of 97. Beloved husband of Blassetta “Blossom” Martin. Loving father of Malvia, Tony and Sonia and stepfather of Ken (Juliette). Cherished grandfather of Rodney (Irene), Michelle, Michael, Corey, Nathaniel, William and Presley and loving great-grandfather of Isabella, Isaac, Noel and Miles. Brother of Arthur Martin. Ernest will be missed by several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa) for a Visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. a Funeral Service will be held in Beechwood’s Sacred Space on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Beechwood Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Ernest you may do so towards The Diabetes Association of Ottawa.
