Passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30th, in his 81st year. Loving Brother of David Corry (Leslie). Cherished Uncle of Heather McNab (Bryan) and Jennifer Hardy (George). Sadly missed by his great nieces and nephews Joshua, Evan, Penny, Charlotte, Jacob, Lexi, Nate and Owen. Longtime friend to Eileen Lacroix. Predeceased by his father and mother, Robert & Ethel Corry (nee Ironside). Bob worked for the City of Ottawa before he retired and found joy in travel and ballroom dancing. Bob joined Chaudiere Lodge No. 264, now the Builders’ Lodge No. 177, as a Freemason in 1972. He was a Lifetime member of the Lodge and served as Worshipful Master in 1979, and for many years was the Lodge Treasurer. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, he served the Masonic Brotherhood for over 50 years and was active in many Lodge projects including MASONICh.I.P., providing many local families with children identification kits to assist in the safe recovery of missing children. The family wishes to thank the Perley Health team for their tremendous care and support. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 8th at 11:30am at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa, followed by a private Interment for family at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada (1-800-565-3000).

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob on several occasions; as Eileen’s “Fred Astaire” at Christmas party’s for the Cancer Centre and when Eileen would have Bob over to her home from the Perley on outings. Always a gentleman! A committed friendship bound these two souls together in sickness and in health. Rest peacefully Bob. Condolences to family and friends of Bob. Eileen your advocacy for Bob is a resolve of your character.

I got to know Bob better while driving him to physio. He never ran out of intelligent conversation so the drive and wait in the clinic always flew by. A very sweet man.

Our deepest condolences to aunt Eileen and the Corry family. The Lacroix family will miss you..."uncle Bob". We always enjoyed your company while visiting with the family in Green Valley. You were a man who was knowledgeable in various subjects, a calm and poised man and always very respectful. With heartfelt and caring thoughts, Joscelyne, Marguerite, Roger Deschamps and Georges.

I worked for Bob at the RMOC while going through my flying licenses...it was my first job. He was a great boss, fair, and human. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

To Bob's family, and Eileen, I am sorry for your loss.
I had the pleasure to meet Bob when I joined his lodge about 1981. I am still a member of that lodge and will miss his cheerful company.
To Bob's family, and Eileen, I am so sorry for your loss.
I have fond memories of Bob as a dance partner/coach, and visiting with Eileen and Bob in Florida. Also one memorable lobster dinner. May you all be well.
