Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday October 21, 2023 at the age of 81. Son of the late Jose and the late Ana Vaz.
Beloved husband of Maria Vaz. Loving father of Fatima Vaz, Lourdes Vaz (Bertram Johhny), Manuel Vaz (Martin Mulligan), Connie Botelho (Alvaro Botelho) and Carlos Vaz (Donna Johnny). Cherished grandfather of Alexander Johnny (Jennis Araniva), Ashton Johnny, Nicholas Johnny, Kyle Botelho, Brianna Botelho and Sophia Tougas. Proud great-grandfather of Savannah and Audriannah Johnny.
He will be missed by his brother Jose Vaz and his sister Rosa Da Silva (Manuel Da Silva) as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
He was predeceased by José Maria Vaz, Anna Gomes Vaz, Helena Rodrigues (Antonio Rodrigues), Arthur Vaz (Rosa Maria Vaz) and Manuel Vaz.
Family and friends are invited to Beechwood National Memorial Centre (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa.) on Wednesday October 25, 2023, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at Paroquia Senhor Santo Cristo Parish (1100 Kenaston Street) on Thursday October 26, 2023 at 10:00am.
