Our hearts ache to announce that Cheryl Miller (née Cole) passed away July 21, 2023. She is survived by her loving family: husband Ross, daughters Rosslynn (Brook, children Dan (Laura), Brooklynn 4 and Aiden 2) and Twyla (Chad), as well as her sisters Georgina and Laurel. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Gladys, sister Alice, and brothers David and Rodney.
Cheryl lived a full life, graduating from North Collegiate in Barrie, Ontario, marrying in Grenfel, ON in 1976 and then living in Alberta, Nova Scotia, Manitoba and Ontario. Over the years, she worked for Canada Packers, Lufkin Rule, Base Borden, Alberta LCBO, Capital Movers and Zehrs in Guelph. She excelled in sewing quilts, paper tole, cross-stich and knitting, making delicious and copious pies, breads and celebratory meals, and loved to read, especially about financial investments, but her favourite activity was dancing, where she lit up the floor with her radiant smile. After her retirement, she combined square dancing with her love of travel, dancing in Alaska, in Hawaii, and all points in between.
Most recently, she was overjoyed to be a grandmother, adoring and indulging her grandchildren's every whim. She was grateful and blessed with the support of so many friends and family in her final weeks. Cheryl will be missed by her loving family who are heart-broken in our loss. In lieu of flowers, Cheryl requested that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Ottawa Civic Hospital.
