Eleanor Elizabeth LeCavalier (Riddoch)

On April 17, Easter Sunday 2022, Eleanor passed away peacefully with her loving son Michael by her side. Her close small family and friends, including her grandson Vincent she was so proud of, will miss her dearly.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on October 11, 1937, her family came to Canada as a young child. She adapted well to her new life and Canada became her new home.

Eleanor was a talented typist and this led, to many job opportunities including a long tenure at WSIB. Heck-she even created statistic books for the hockey teams Michael played on as a child.

Known for her variety of colourful and stylish hats-she liked to look fresh.

Eleanor lost her husband Raymond of 62 years May 1st last year and her broken heart contributed to her rapid declining health and ultimately her peaceful passing. TRUE LOVE.

We will all miss you and so many great fun times together. Be at peace with your man Raymond now and we will all be ok.

A private ceremony will be held.

In Memory of Eleanor, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society Ottawa and Renfrew County or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

I worked with Eleanor for many years. She always fit in with a crowd 20-30 years her junior! She was smart, funny and always helpful. I have fond memories of her.

Eleanor and me had the same love. Vincent our grandson. She was very precious for Vincent and I will keep a good memory of her. My deepest sympathy to Mike and Vincent.

Mike,
I have fond memories of working with Eleanor at WSIB (one of my first jobs) as we had many laughs. Over the years we often bumped into Eleanor and Ray and always left with a smile on our faces. Such amazing people. They were always together. When we learned of Ray's passing we knew Eleanor wouldn't be far behind. Our deepest sympathies on your loss.
