Passed away on March 22, 2022, at the age of 84. Son of the late Hildegard & Walter Flemig. Loving husband of Hélène. Dear father of Shawn Walter Flemig (Cécile), Mandy Diana Flemig-Kalin (Michael Kalin) and Karin Hildegard Flemig (Patrick Cunningham). Cherished grandfather of Sasha Cunningham, Kevin Flemig, Dylan Flemig-Kalin, Connor Flemig-Kalin, Michael Flemig, Rowan Flemig, Lily Flemig-Kalin, Jennifer Flemig and William Flemig-Cunningham. Great grandfather of Amelia Kemper, Wolf Kemper, and another great grandchild due this summer by Michael & Erin. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Ulrike Glasel (Rolf), his brothers Horst Flemig (Joyce) and Erwin Wesner (Klaudia), also by his in-laws and many nephews, nieces, and friends. Predeceased by his brother Dittmar Flemig.
Ward loved life. He was generous to all that were near and dear. He had a smile for everyone. He will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, on Thursday March 31st, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The family will share memories at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held at Beechwood Cemetery after the visitation.
In Memory of Ward Flemig, donations to the Humane Society of Ottawa would be appreciated, if so inclined. This cause is close to both Ward & Hélène’s heart, as they are both great animal lovers.
