Grant Price passed away in Ottawa on January 28, 2022. He is survived by his wife and best friend Kathleen to whom he was married for 61 years, daughter Colleen and her partner Sandie, son Richard and daughter-in-law Shelley and granddaughter Erin.
Grant was born in Winnipeg on 6 December, 1938 to Elizabeth Jane Price (née Morrow) and Richard Stephen Price. He lived and worked in Winnipeg, Regina and Ottawa and was employed for thirty-eight years with Transport Canada, Air Traffic Services and for two years with Nav Canada. He was an Air Traffic Controller, an ATC instructor, a Shift Supervisor and finally a Specialist in ATC Headquarters for 14 years. Grant was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves in his youth, serving in the R.C.A.F. Auxiliary 402 City of Winnipeg Squadron, the Regina Rifle Regiment and the Royal Winnipeg Rifles for a total of about 17 years. Recently, he was an office volunteer with the Ottawa Police Service in the Orléans Community Police Centre, for about 15 years.
A private family service is planned at his request.
