Rodolphe (Rudy) Sabourin, aged 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. He was the most loving, charming, and effortlessly funny man — someone who could light up a room with a smile, a story, or a perfectly timed joke. His warmth drew people in, and his kindness kept them close.
He lived his life with grace, curiosity, and a twinkle in his eye, leaving behind memories that will be retold with laughter and love for years to come.
He was predeceased by his beautiful wife Rita and his eldest daughter, Louise (Dave). He is lovingly remembered by his surviving sisters: Muriel, Elaine and Suzanne, and his five surviving children: Guy (Sharon), David (Lucie), Jo‑Anne (Marcel), Denis (Ann), and Susan (Brent).
He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren — Mandy, Bobby (Aimie), Sean (Roxanne), Charles‑Simon, Alyssa, Alex (Rebecca), Hannah, Andrew (Janessa), and Lindsey (Nick) — and a joyful great‑grandfather to nine great‑grandchildren: Brayden, Jake, Kayleigh‑Anne, Henri, Leanne, Willem, Colton, Ellianna, and Beau. Each one brought him immeasurable joy and carried forward his humour, kindness, and unmistakable sparkle.
Nothing made him happier than being surrounded by the generations he helped shape.
