It is with the deepest sadness that we share the passing of our beautiful, loving, creative and passionate sister, daughter, wife Louise Butterworth. For everyone who knew Louise, you were blessed to know someone who loved with her whole heart. Our hearts are breaking but we are relieved she is now in the loving arms of her mother.
Louise is survived by her husband Dave Butterworth, Father Rodolphe (Rudy) Sabourin, pre-deceased by her mother Rita Sabourin, father-in-law Douglas Butterworth, and mother-in-law Dorothy Butterworth. She was surrounded by her loving husband, brothers Guy Sabourin (Sharon), David Sabourin (Lucie), Denis Sabourin (Ann) and sisters Jo-Anne Carrière (Marcel), Susan Ingram (Brent). Louise was a loving aunt to 9 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews!
A big thank you to the many doctors, nurses, PSWs and volunteers at The Ottawa Hospital and the May Court Hospice who eased Louise’s final days. We would ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Cancer Society or the May Court Hospice.
We will celebrate Louise’s life and legacy later this spring. Details to follow.

My deepest condolences to Dave and the entire Butterworth and Sabourin families. I had the privilege of knowing Louise for the past three years as her and David’s service advisor, and she always brought a smile to my face. Louise was clearly a woman who loved deeply and lived creatively. her light touched so many. She made me placemats for my birthday that I loved so much and will now cherish dearly. She was a kind and thoughtful soul, and I will truly miss our little conversations and our laughter. May you find comfort knowing how loved she was and how many lives she impacted. Rest peacefully, Louise.
You will be missed my beautiful neice. You're joie de vivre has touched all those who knew and loved you. RIP LOUISE 🙏
