Beverly Denaise Brown passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, warmth, and quiet grace. Beverly was the kind of woman who made people feel welcome the moment they stepped into her presence. She led with kindness, spoke from the heart, and carried her family through many of life's storms with steady hands and a spirit that never wavered.
Beverly was a beloved daughter, sister and aunt who all carry a piece of her in the stories they tell, the values she shared, and the love she poured into every relationship. Family meant everything to her. She showed up for birthdays, holidays, quick phone calls, and long conversations that stretched late into the night. She gave without expecting anything in return, and people naturally gravitated toward her steady presence.
Beverly will also be deeply missed by her coworkers and union members, who knew her as a dependable voice of support and a calm problem solver. She took pride in being there for others, whether it was helping a colleague or stepping up when her community needed her. Beyond her work, Beverly loved to volunteer. She gave her time freely, always looking for ways to lift others up and make a positive impact.
She had a soft laugh that made people smile and a straight-talking honesty that kept everyone grounded. She appreciated simple moments, celebrated the small wins, and reminded others to slow down and breathe. Her wisdom was lived, not performed, and those around her felt it.
The visitation will take place at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, located at 280 Beechwood Avenue in Ottawa, on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will follow in Beechwood’s Sacred Space from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. A Reception will be held afterward from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Friends, loved ones, colleagues, and community members are invited to come together to honor Beverly and celebrate the beautiful life she lived.

When I think of Beverly Brown I think of an amazing kind loving Lady who was always able to get the job done. She was able to organize & pull together any event & see it through from start to finish. She welcomed everyone with open arms & made them feel welcome. Bev was our little energizer bunny, she went on & on & never stopped until the job was done. I will miss Bev at every picnic, every party, every event!! I will miss Bevery Brown always & am glad that she will be greeted in her new life by the friends who left before her, I am glad she will never be alone. I love u Bev & will miss u always 💗💖😘 Donna M

Dear Brown family,
As a TBS colleague of Bev's, I am heart broken.
Many of us will be there at Beechwood to share with you how much we love and miss her, and to share light hearted stories, because that is what Bev' would want. See you there, dressed in blue, and hoping to connect, hug, cry and celebrate who she was, and will always be, in our hearts. We did this for the past eight working days, in person, and on MS Teams. Peace out. To Beverly, I will always love you, 'Sugar'.
