It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alice LaBelle, a devoted wife, loving mother, treasured step-mother, and cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Alice leaves behind her beloved husband, Claude Ladouceur, with whom she shared many years of unwavering love, partnership, and strength.

Born to Alexandre and Eileen LaBelle, Alice was predeceased by her siblings Lois, Wilma, William and Richard. She is survived by her brother Gilbert (Linda), and many nieces & nephews.

She is predeceased by her daughters Dawna Payer (Jean-Pierre) and Lorelie Smithson (Daniel).

Alice will be lovingly remembered by her children Vicki Irwin, Kevin LaBelle (Lynne), Clifford LaBelle, Wanda Titus (Jim), And by her stepchildren who adored her Joanne Lanthier (Barry), Julie Ladouceur D’Amato (Frank), and Jamie Simard (Patsy).

Alice was a woman of remarkable strength, loyalty, and quiet resilience. She never complained, embraced life with grace, and built a beautiful, blended family filled with love.

Her guiding words, “Every day is a good day,” will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be missed dearly and remembered always.

Heartbroken. My aunt was such a loving and caring person, putting your happiness in front of hers despite the ailments and pain. Always smiling, welcoming and willing to give and receive the biggest hugs and multiple kisses. Love you and miss you always Aunt Alice.

Alice, my Mother in law, she was a kind and funny lady who always had to look up to me, I mean really, she was short in stature but had a huge heart if she liked you. I am still trying to figure out which one it was for me and I always liked it when her and I had a picture taken together, she always kept my leg warm. She always bragged about how much she loved her kids too, you know which one you are! Seriously though, all of my tears have dried up and what is left is the laughter that we shared throughout the years and the love that she showed me when I joined this family. She is gone but will always be in my heart, Goodnight Alice, love and hugs!

My sweet Mama, Alice…
The tiny firecracker with the sharp wit, the stubborn streak, and the biggest heart she only handed out to a chosen few.

She used to say, “Every day is a good day,” even on the days when life tried its hardest to prove her wrong. Somehow, she always found a way to laugh, to tease, to make light out of the heavy. That was her magic — she could be complicated and soft, hard and tender, all in the same breath.

She taught me resilience without ever sitting me down for a lesson. She taught me grit just by surviving everything she survived. And she gave me the one gift I never fully appreciated until now: her strength — the same strength I’m leaning on today, seven days later, when the ache hasn’t let up and the silence feels louder than anything.

Mom, I feel you everywhere.
I feel you in the room.
I feel you in the quiet.
I feel you in the way my heart remembers you — flawed, funny, fiercely loving in your own way.

Thank you for giving me life, fire, resilience… and the courage to rise again and again.
Your chapter here is done, but your echo lives forever in me.

Every day is a good day…
And now, I’ll keep saying it for the both of us.

Goodnight, Mama.
I love you. forever and always
