Remembering Aunt Lucy fondly. My mother Noella (Lucy's older sister) and I would travel by train from Moncton to visit Lucy in my childhood.

Like so many of us cousins of a certain age, we recall Aunt Lucy and Uncle Bill as lively and welcoming. Maybe I was 6 or 7 and was learning “bad words” and one that was not so bad came out of my mouth. Aunt Lucy had to cryptically explain to my Mom what it could mean. What a sense of fun Aunt Lucy had! Once, visiting her at her cottage, she was probably the age I am now, she was taking care of things. Hard things. I remember thinking “How does she do it?”. Well she did it for a long time.

Aunt Lucy was a lovely and classy auntie!
Over the last 30 years, we enjoyed many occasions of visiting her or have her participate in family events.
She was eager to join aunt Jacquie to our daughter’s wedding and Frank Gallagher’s 80th birthday party in our home. She was always filled with smiles and giggles even as her health began to fail.
In her latter years as her strength failed, we loved visiting her in her condo and sharing a cup of tea or a meal.
Rest in peace, Aunt Lucy. We will miss you, but we know you are at rest in the Lord‘s loving arms.

Good memories of my lovely aunt Lucy ❤️ May she rest in Jesus our Saviours Love and Caring arms🙏 I remember all the fun times we had as kids at the Cottage in Beach Grove. Aunty loved all of us kids dearly like as if we were hers. I remember painting her house on Levi street and teaching aunty how drive when I was around 16. I also remember the day aunty gave her heart to the Lord it was at the cottage when she told me. What a blessing she was.

Goodbye, aunt Lucy! You had a great life and those last eight years with Diane gave you a dignified walk to the end of the road. Now that she has helped you across that threshold to the start of your next chapter, we bid farewell until we all meet again. In the meantime, enjoy hugging Bill and Theresa and Bert and join them in a song that will last forever…
Quand le soleil dit bonjour aux montagnes
Et que la nuit rencontre le jour
Je suis seule avec mes rêves sur la montagne
Une voix me rappelle toujours
