As a result of complications from dementia, 85 year old Evelyne (aka Eveline) Marie Irene (nee Cornut) Oickle took her last breath while sleeping, on May 19, 2025.  Waiting to welcome her were her parents Berthe (nee Chartrand) and Jean-Marie Cornut, her 4 brothers and one sister. She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Raymond George (aka Ike) (Lovdy), son David (Christina), daughters Danita (Alex) and Rose; six grandchildren (Cory, Cameron, Winslow, Sharon, Nathaniel, Audreyauna), five great grandchildren (Brooks, Chase, Griffin, Timothy, Peighton), three sisters (Claire, Gertrude, Gisele), many nieces and nephews.

Interment will take place at Ottawa’s Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with a reception to follow on-site.

In lieu of flowers (SCENT ALLERGIES), the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County, 2327 St Laurent Blvd, Unit 500, Ottawa ON K1G 4J8.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Evelyn left a lasting impression on everyone she met. We cherish the memories of spending time with her at Nanny's 75th birthday, where her bright smile and gentle spirit made us feel completely at home. God bless. This angel is now watching over all of you.🙏🏼

Sending our deepest sympathies to Uncle George and Family. I will forever remember Aunt Evelyn as the funny, creative, crafty, best food maker she was; all done up in a cute little French package! Heaven is going to get a make-over...xo
