Marie Bazerly (née Kebbé)

Marie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 16, 2025, a few weeks shy of her 88th birthday. 

Born in El-Mina, Lebanon on June 27, 1937, beloved wife of late Hanna, loving mother of Abdo (Maggie Najm), Zarifé and Nicolas (Giselle Naoufal), dear grandmother to Justine, Nathanaël and Noah.

Daughter of late Elias Kebbé and Fadwa Amchiti. She will be dearly missed by her sister Alexandra (late Elias) and the families of her late brothers: Hanna (Henriette), Abdo (late Malaké), Fouad (Jeanette), Farah (Josephine) and Joāo (late Vera Maria) and her many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada, Lebanon, Australia and Brazil.  

Marie was a humble woman who lived a quiet life devoted to her family.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at the Peter D. Clark, Long Term Care Center for their exceptional care and compassion. 

The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday May 23, 2025, at 12:30 PM at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 700 Ridgewood Ave, Ottawa, followed by the funeral service at 1:30 PM Internment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave, Ottawa.
