James F. Munro passed away peacefully watching hockey with his beloved family by his side on December 28th, 2024 at 67 years of age. Jim was the husband & forever soulmate of Kimberley, devoted amazing dad to Jennifer (James Blais), Katherine (Jeffrey Yates) and awesome Grandad to Leah & Mya.
He was predeceased by his parents David & June, was the loving stepson of Jackie; brother of Gary, Jo-Ann (Bruce Torrey), Gail (deceased); and uncle to many nieces & nephews.
Jim graduated from the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, and began his 37 year career with ScotiaBank in Florenceville, New Brunswick. His career took him to many maritime destinations and eventually to Ottawa.
Jim loved his sports, golf, hockey, football, curling and Formula One. He was very active in many committees at his golf course, Camelot Golf & Country Club; as well as many other community organizations. He had a passion for gardening that was only outmatched by his love of attending his granddaughters’ sporting events.
Jim was a friend to all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He will “Allways” & Forever be in our hearts.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be planned for the spring.

We were lucky to count Kim and Jim as dear friends and you have had to travel a difficult path but so blessed to have so much love surrounding you along the way. A legacy living in your family. We will miss his smiling face on the patio after a game of golf.
Our hearts are with you, Rowena (and Ruby too)

Our condolences Kim, to you our dear friend and also to Jenn, Kathrine and the rest of your family. We are very grateful for all the times spent with Jim in Ottawa and Florida, on and off the golf courses. He took his game seriously but always remained joyful. He shall forever be in our hearts and mind particularly when we put a lime green peg in the ground on the tee box.
