On June 7th, 2026, in Joliette, Québec, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 90, Simone Côté has finally joined her beloved husband, Marcel, of nearly 63 years.   We know he was waiting for her, with open arms, a huge smile on his face, and a piano nearby.   Simone was the proud mother to Dyna (Jacques), Lynn (Robert), and Alan (Janet), and loving grandmother to Jessica (Jean-Philippe, and great-grandmother to his children, Charles-Elie and Mia).  She also leaves behind her two sisters, Marie and Clémence.

Predeceased by her parents Solange Jutras and Jean-Baptiste Courchesne, her brothers, Jocelyn, Julien, Pierre, Cyrille, and Jean, along with sisters Françoise and Louisette.

For those who wish to attend the interment, please gather at the Beechwood National Memorial Centre (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, Ontario, K1L 8A6) for 2:45PM on Wednesday, July 15th, where there will be a procession to graveside at 3PM to lay the late Simone Côté to rest.
