Sandra’s physical body suffered in silence for over 30 years before her heart finally gave out. While being treated for lymphoma cancer and multiple complications at the Humber River Hospital, Sandra passed away on October 9, 2025.

She is survived by Wayne, her husband of 28 years and sweetheart for a lifetime. Her daughter Marta Breen, her grandsons Chris and Derek Spencer, her sisters Karen Russell (deceased), Cheryl Singleton, Wendy Pollex (deceased), Ida Craig and Debra Azari.

I would like to thank Dr Gladman(retired) from the Rheumatology Clinic at Toronto Western Hospital for all the years of care given to Sandra. Also to Dr George Fehlings for his special surgery at TWH which gave Sandra another 4 years of life and to all the doctors and nurses at Lyndhurst Toronto Rehab Center for helping Sandra walk again. I would also like to thank Dr Sagman and his staff at Humber River Hospital for the care they provided for Sandra through this difficult time. Sandra and I were prepared for the inevitable ending of her life on this earth but unable to bear the pain of her final passing.

She did not go “Gentle into that Good Night”. But she was my BEAUTIFUL GIRL and I will love her forever.

Wayne

Digital Guestbook

  1. Sandy was my protector, my best friend and room mate, during the 60’s and 70’s. She taught me very valuable lesson’s during our time together. We had a lot of laughs and good fun. I will never forget the time, us driving in a snow storm, in her old V W bug, with no heater, me scraping ice of the windshield as she drove. We always got where we wanted to get in that bug in fact, she taught me how to shift gears in it. Age 16 and Sandy 18. Karen was usually with us too. Loved them both so much. #7!!
