Patricia Joan Cross (née Knight) died peacefully at her home surrounded by her children on Friday July 17, 2026 aged 90. She will be deeply missed by her children Robert (Carolyn), John (Julia) and Pamela (Marc), her grandchildren Maximilian (Sophie), David (Billy), Sophie and Jamie, and her daughter-in-law Claire (Tino). Patricia was predeceased by her husband Donald (who she affectionately called “Mel”), her son Paul and her granddaughter Julia.
Patricia grew up in Toronto and trained as a physiotherapist. After taking a break to start her family she returned to work full time and went back to university to earn her Bachelor of Science degree. She had a long and distinguished career at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital in Kingston, retiring in 2001.
Patricia enjoyed traveling the world, first as a military wife raising a young family and later taking many trips with Mel in retirement.
