Michael Eugene Greco

OCTOBER 29, 1948 MAY 13, 2026

Portrait of Michael Eugene Greco

Peacefully, on May 13, 2026 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Patricia Greco. Loving father of Valerie Stewart (Wilfred) and Carey Landry (Christopher). Cherished grandfather of Alex, Matthew, Zachary, Logan and Cameron. Predeceased by parents Margaret and Eugene Greco and brother Kerry Barnum (Anna). He will be missed by his brother Vincent Greco (Sue), sisters Kate Greco (Kerstin) and Peggy Greco (Simon), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and former colleagues.

Michael was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario October 29, 1948 and enjoyed time spent on Upton Road and the family cottage at Pointe Aux Pins, fishing with his dad. A graduate of the University of Toronto, he completed his Masters in Forest Management at SUNY College of Forestry, Syracuse University, where he met his future wife, Patricia.  They moved to Ottawa together in 1975, where they raised their daughters. Michael worked for the federal civil service at Parks Canada for several years, and later, Canadian Heritage Rivers as a Senior Planner before transitioning to a private industry career with International Rose Reporting.

Michael loved life, especially time spent with his family. He always appreciated a good joke, never complained, and was a fighter to the end.

Special thanks to the staff at Sarsfield Colonial Home for the exceptional care and comfort provided to Michael over the last 12 years.

A private ceremony will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, all are welcome to support a charity of their choice.
