With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Jeannine Yvette Frappier (née Robillard) on September 30, 2026, at the age of 89. Loving daughter of the late Alexandre and Yvette Robillard (née Boyer), Jeannine is now reunited with her beloved husband, Roger Laurent Frappier (d. 1975).

Devoted mother of René (Monique), Denis (Jo-anne), Jacques (Susan), Michel (Heather), Carole, and Marc (Lisa, and the late Eileen). Cherished grand-maman of Mathieu (Christie), Michel (Paige), Chantal (Tomasz), Caroline (Pete), Valérie, Amelia Jill,  Courtney (Brocke), Emily (Mike), Trevor (Chantel), Alexandra (Jamie), André (Sabrina), Phillip, and Nicholas, and proud arrière-grand-maman of Tessa, Bryson, Bennett, Lukasz, Maya, Sofia, Kennedy, Winslow, Harvey, Hannah, Addilyn, Everley, Lennon, Jagger, Luca, and Rocco.

Dear sister of the late Gisèle (late Roland), Fernande (late Roger), Sandra (late Sydney), late Gérald (Françoise), Hélène (Laurier), late Gilles (Lucy), Marianne (Cléo), late Gaëtanne (Daniel (Helen)), and Daniel (Carol). She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Jeannine will be remembered above all for her immense generosity, her incredible heart, and the warmth she extended to everyone around her.  Her kitchen was the heart of her home and always open to family, friends and anyone who happened to walk through the door.  Feeding people was her love language, and gathering people around her table brought her great joy.  With Jeannine, there was always room for one more, and no one ever left her home hungry.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 2.00 PM to 3.00 PM at Beechwood Cemetery (280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa, ON), followed by a celebration of life and reception from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul or Parkinson Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family.
