” I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” (John 11:25)”

It is with profound sadness and deep faith in God’s eternal promise that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Genevieve Wehbe, who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family.

Genevieve was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, unwavering faith, generosity, and love touched everyone who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.

She is lovingly survived by her beloved husband, Emile Fares Wehbe; her sons, RobertRoger and his family, and Alan and his family; and her daughter, Renee, wife of Ghassan Nehme, and their family in Lebanon.

She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, ElieJessicaEmile (Lebanon), Alexander, and Michaella.

She is also mourned by the Wehbe, Mahrouk, Nehme, Khater, Nohra, Khazaka, Abou Malhab, Bou Solo, Hbeika, and El Abyad families, as well as their relatives and friends in Lebanon and abroad.

She was predeceased by her brothers, the late Youssef Mahrouk, the late George Mahrouk, the late Kamil Mahrouk, the late Badih Mahrouk, and the late Michel Mahrouk; and by her sisters, the late Wadieh, wife of the late Youssef Mahrouk; the late Rose, wife of the late Fares Abou Melhem; and the late Marie, wife of the late George Hbeika. She will also be remembered by their families.

Though she has left this earthly life, her love, faith, and beautiful spirit will remain with us forever.

Visitation will be held at St. Charbel Maronite Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. and the interment at Beechwood Cemetery.

The family would like to thank all relatives and friends for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time. They also extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Montfort Hospital for their compassionate care and dedication.

“May perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in peace.”
