Our thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time. Donna will be missed by many, both human and animal.

Donna was a dear friend. We met raising money for the cats and immediately hit it off. I will miss her late night messages “Hey T – I have an idea!”

I am so very sorry for your loss. I was deeply saddened to hear of Donna’s sudden illness. I feel privileged to have had one last call with her a few weeks ago. Her attitude and spirit were inspiring. She lived with grace and kindness in all things. I will miss her.

I only met Donna once in person when she hosted a card workshop. Her beautiful smile and kindness stayed with me. Before meeting her, I had won an item in an auction for Community Alley Trappers and she messaged me the day I was picking up my item that there was a little something extra in my package. She had given me muffins that she had baked. It was such a lovely gesture and brought a smile to my face after a long day at work. What a ray of sunshine she was. I always loved her comics and posts on Facebook. If there was an event coming up for CAT, she would message me to remind me for which I was always so grateful. I’m an avid supporter of cat rescues. She will be truly missed. My deepest condolescences to her family.

Donna was such a kind and generous soul. I will miss her warm smile. Thinking of her family at this incredibly difficult time.

Oh my dear friend, words fail. We shared many moments together, collected blue and white china, discussed cats, shared times with the same friends, and many great conversations. I will remember the day you told me you had met Richard and he was “the one”. A beautiful love story, which will go on . Missing you, but so glad for your friendship.

Donna was the kindest, most thoughtful person with the biggest heart. She was a natural leader and those of us who had the privilege of knowing her and working with her would follow her anywhere. She would text and gently suggest that we bake for the rescue or help sort donations or host a charity event. Could we ever refuse Donna – never! She was someone you wanted to do things for. Donna was very much loved and we will miss her terribly.

Richard and family, we grieve with you and hope you find comfort in knowing how loved she was, and that she’s now at peace.

To Rick and your extended family. So very, very sorry for your loss. The rapid movement of things must have left you feeling so robbed for time. We are so sorry for your loss and hope that hearing from so many about your loss might somehow make the loss a tiny bit more manageable.

My sincere condolences to Richard and Donna’s family for your loss. I met Donna as a volunteer with a cat rescue and we fast became friends. She had a natural talent for great and unusual ideas to raise funds – there were times when I’d say “I don’t know Donna, I’m not sure that’s going to work” and she’d just suggest we give it a try – nothing ventured, nothing gained. And of course it would work. We all loved being on her volunteer team – she made it fun, enjoyable and rewarding. We will miss her terribly.

My deepest sympathies to all who loved Donna. Gone far too soon, she will be very fondly remembered.

I met Donna through cat rescuing and followed her to CAT. Her passion and love were infectious and led me to be involved in a small way. She led many groups and events all in the name of assisting cats. Richard, Lauren, Jacqueline, Hudson, Fraser and family, I hope that you can draw strength from your many precious memories of Donna during this most difficult time. Thanks to Donna, my love for cats and understanding of their hardships grew. May she rest in peace.

Donna embodied all of the best attributes one could find in a friend. Like a beacon, she had an ability to bring people together. She was charitable and shared her passion for helping animals with her rescue friends. She embraced each day with positivity. She was always there for her friends and gave excellent advice. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family and sending them all much love.

I will always remember Donna’s beautiful smile and her warm caring personality. It was an honour to have known her.

Donna knew intuitively how to make people feel valued and included. She always had the best ideas for fundraising, and for presenting gifts.

We only met once in person but Donna was always there to help me with tips and advice on posting on the auction site. She bought
many puzzles from me, posted some of my favourite ones. What a great lady! My deepest sympathies to her family.

Donna was an amazing person with a huge heart and a generous spirit. I met her through cat rescue and she was always kind, not to mention, inspirational! She truly had the gift of making everyone feel valued and accepted. She was so loved and touched many lives, both human and animal. I will miss her very much. My deepest condolences to her family.

I met Donna when I began volunteering with her to fundraise for CAT. We shared a love for cats, reading and tea and I spent many happy hours in her company. She was always hosting get togethers to package coffee, chocolate bars, tea boxes, hosting card making workshops, whatever she could think of to raise funds to help cats in need. She was such a remarkable woman and I still can’t believe she’s gone. She was taken from us much too soon and my heart goes out to her family and everyone who knew her.
