WHERE:
280 Beechwood Ave

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my dear sweet Dad, David (Dave) James Lauder from Ottawa, our Loving Father, Grandfather & Brother.  He passed away peacefully, 94 years young at Perley Veteran’s Home after an unfair battle with dementia.

He was pre-deceased by his mother, Margaret (Maggie); father, Hugh; sister, Grace; and former wife Jenny (Eugenia)

His memory will be cherished forever by his daughter, Sylvia (Bree) & granddaughter, Jasmin, and sons, Damon (Stacey) and Tom; sister Joan; brothers Alan (Vicki) and Bruce; and stepdaughter Vivian.

David was a Korean War Veteran and served in the Royal Canadian Navy just like his father, for over 15 years.   Stationed on ships and submarines, he served his country before he became a family man and loving father.   He loved his property of 50 years and his cottage and kept busy tending to them.  He also ran his own printing business, Personal Printing, that served the Ottawa area.

David was the most admirable, charismatic, kind, caring, calm, generous and compassionate man with a fabulous sense of humour, who captured the heart of everyone he met.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Internment will be held at the Beechwood Military Cemetary on Wednesday, October 21st at 1:00pm
