It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aurel July 19, 2026 at the age of 83.

Beloved husband for 46 years to Cecile Labrie (née Lemire). Preceaded by sons Steven and Gregory.

He will be greatly missed by his children and step-children: Mark (Valerie), Beth (Ferguson), Angela, Catherine (John), Carol-Ann (Michael), Sandra (Howard), Andrew (Yoko), Denis (Kelly), Brenda (Gaétan).

His numerous grand-children, great grand-children, his great great grand-children, his sister, brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

We will all miss his humor, smile and laugh. He was always first to offer his help and advice to all.

A Celebration of Aurel’s Life will be held at Beechwood National Memorial Centre (280 Beechwood Ave. Ottawa, ON), on Friday July 31st, 2026. The family will receive condolences from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by the celebration of life at 3 p.m. and a reception from 4 p.m to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
