Portrait of Anne Rowlatt (née MacKenzie)

Anne Adele Rowlatt (née MacKenzie) of Ottawa was abruptly taken from us on August 2, 2026 after a short and unexpected illness, in her 70th year.

Anne was born in Bedford, Nova Scotia. She was a financial officer and whiz-kid at the Government Telecommunications Agency and Public Works. Anne was known for her smile, wit, intelligence, great fashion taste, a wonderful sense of humour, generosity, wisdom, and kindness. She received a kidney transplant 26 years ago, yet was never known to complain.

Anne is predeceased by her father, William Hartley, mother Theresa, and brother Ken.

She is survived by her husband Mike Vlasic, brother Rob (Maria), niece Maya, son Aaron Rowlatt (Janelle), grandchildren Abigail and James, sister-in-law Janet Craig, and niece Heather (Scott).

Anne was a beautiful woman in every way and we will miss her deeply.

Interment will be at the Beechwood Cemetery at a later date with immediate family and friends.
