It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Irene Clark, who was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on November 4, 1930.

Sandra was predeceased by her beloved husband of more than 70 years, Allan Clark.  Sandra enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. As a library technician, she shared her love of books and learning throughout her career. Above all, however, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, kindness, and quiet strength will be remembered always.

She will be deeply missed by her children: Leslie (Tom), Melissa (Cliston), Allan (Sharon), and Leah (John). She was a proud grandmother to Ryan, Shannon, Paul, Elisabeth, Patrick, Evan, and Sarah, and a cherished great-grandmother to Avery, Noah, Austin, Zoey, and Elijah.

Sandra’s legacy lives on through the family she loved so dearly and the many memories they shared together. Her gentle spirit, caring nature, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8 at Beechwood Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service in Beechwood’s Sacred Space at 1 p.m. Interment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery following the service.

In memory of Sandra, donations may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society.

  1. Sandra and Al were our neighbours on Sable Run Drive in Stittsville.
When they were away, I used to go to their home and babysit heir cat Jasper.
When I was baking new cookie recipes, I’d call them to open the garage door so I could come in to deliver the goodies to them. We know that Al will be so excited to see his beautiful wife once again 💕
Jim and I will make a donation to the Humane Society.
